Yacht Club News – Bill Robertson Retiring
Dear Members,
We all knew that someday this sad day would come. After 22 years of flipping burgers, making whitefish, and entertaining us with his dry sense of humor and great music, Bill Robertson has officially retired. He has been a huge part of the club and our lives for these many years. He has not only kept striving to provide us with better and better meals, but he has always been willing to go the extra mile to expand the kitchen services by providing catering, take out, and dinners before and after the normal weeks the club is open. This included hours of planning and serving for many regattas, lunch and learns, and many, many, birthday cakes.
But perhaps his greatest legacy will be the impact he has made on so many of our kids who have worked with him in the kitchen. I’m sure he has provided them with lots of unique memories and valuable life lessons. For that he will always be fondly remembered, and always welcomed back.
I know every member wishes Bill the best of fortune and success in the next chapter of his life. I know he loves Torch Lake like we all do, and I hope we see him visit the Club often in the future.
 Sincerely,
Art Brereton
