TLYCC Activities Update – July 12, 2015
Last week at Poker Night, Pat Martin and Nan Podurgiel were in a ‘dead heat’ for winning. Judi Comfort, guest Joey Johnson, and I  were skunked by those two! At another table, Jim Campbell cleaned up. There were about 27 of us learning “Texas Hold ‘Em” and playing together.
Â
This Wednesday night is the so smart and so lovely Peg Comfort Talking about Loons and Loon Preservation. Please join us–immediately following dinner. It’s also a wonderful meal. Ages middle school and up.Â
Â
The following week, July 22, Steve Foley guarantees a good time with his scintillating topic: Â FUN WITH ETHICS. I mean, you wouldn’t want to miss how Steve will keep us thinking! Ages high school and up.
Â
The following week, July 29, come early as we are all going to learn about Wine at the Torch Lake Cellars. I think it’s called a Wine Tasting Lecture (they don’t allow these at Univ of Michigan or at the point), @ Torch Lake Cellars! We’ll be back in time for dinner at the club. Ages 21 and up.
The terrific poetry night led by Jeff and Donna Green will take place immediately following dinner at the club on Wednesday, July 29. All members are encouraged to take part!Â
Other good stuff:
Bonnie Drick leads us in music/exercise on Mondays. Kara Thompson helps us focus and renew with Yoga on Fridays. All free.
Â
Susan McLean and her volunteers have created a visual feast at the club. Thanks for the lovely plantings, all those glorious root systems, and watering of trees and plants on the point. Yea Susan!—
