The Antrim County Sheriff’s Office has announced its 2013 boater safety initiative. TLYCC is sponsoring the Boating Safety Exam on Monday, July 22. Additional dates for the exam are June 29 and July 27. For complete details, please read this flyer: 2013 Boaters Safety Exam Flyer.

TLYCC members should be aware of the following:

• Anyone born after July 1, 1996, must have and carry a Boating Safety Certificate (BSC) to operate any boat with a motor greater than 6 hp.
• Anyone born after December 31, 1978, must have and carry a Boating Safety Certificate (BSC) to operate any personal watercraft (PWC/Jet Ski).
