Attention all TLYCC Butterfly Sailors. We will have a very brief meeting for all sailors and their parents at 3:00pm on Tuesday, June 30. Racing will follow immediately after. Please have boats rigged and ready PRIOR to the 3:00pm meeting. We will discuss the calendar, share info about Bfly Nationals, and answer any questions you may have. Meet on the boardwalk by the T-Dock.

From the National Butterfly Association: Attention Butterfly sailors, family and crew:

Just a reminder to register for the 2015 Butterfly Nationals before July 1 and save $20 off the registration fee (it also helps us plan food for the regatta). July 13, 2015 with Ted Keller
Ted is with Melges Performance Sailboats and a Cat 3 pro sailor….Ted has extensive experience racing scows: MC, C, E, Melges 17, and grew up racing Butterflys. Ted is an instructor at Melges’ Zenda University and wrote the curriculum for their clinics. He will share his Pyramid of Performance with all attending the SLYC clinic.

Clinic will be 11:30 a.m to 5:00 pm Monday, July 13 (We are allowing some time Monday a.m. for visiting boats to register and get to the beach). We suggest sailors bring a brown bag lunch for 11:00 to 11:30. Clinic will begin with a chalk talk and then aim to be on the water for 4 hours in the afternoon. We will focus on boathandling fundamentals and keys for consistent speed, racing strategy, tactics, and course management, with emphasis on sailing in big fleets. This will be a great session for development of racing skills and warm up for the ButterflyNationals regatta. Please join us!

Cost of clinic is $60 per skipper, (check or cash).
